social media

i hate social media.

despite my larger-than-life persona, i’m actually an introvert. interacting with people, including in an online environment, is draining. 

i don’t enjoy scrolling. i have no desire to consume junk media. 

i do enjoy the creative process, but it is difficult to be consistent.

still, just like squats, i have to put in the reps if i want to enjoy the results.

like it or not, social media is here to stay. its algorithms determine what people pay attention to. and if you don’t get attention, you are functionally invisible.

i have something worth paying attention to. not just my life, but the way i think about human interaction, value, influence, and relationships.

so i post. even though i hate it.
