most people have no idea who is actually influencing them.

they think it’s their boss.

their husband or wife.

maybe their mentor.

their parents.

maybe a podcast or two.

but real influence is quantifiable.

and it’s not always who you think.

so i have everyone who works with me analyze their network. i built a sheet that makes it quick and easy.

for each person in your Dunbar Layers, the sheet asks:

• how much value do you assign them?
• how much value do you think they assign you?
• where are they located in your network? (5 layer? 15? 150?)

from there, the sheet automatically calculates:

• how much influence they exert on you
• the direction of the influence gradient (does it flow toward you or away from you?)

from my own sheet you can see that:

• i have significantly more influence on one person in my 5 Layer than the others.
• some people in my Sympathy Group don’t even know i exist (or they lived hundreds of years ago), so my value to them is necessarily low.
• and unsurprisingly: Jesus Christ exerts 12185 Ch of influence on me. that’s not a metaphor. it’s a literal calculation.

this is the power of anthroponautics.

we’re not guessing who matters most.

we’re measuring it.
